Terms of Service

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Welcome to Blue Collar Trade Manager ("BCTM", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of our invoicing and payment tools for independent contractors and trades businesses. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What BCTM Does

BCTM is a software tool that helps contractors create invoices, accept payments online, manage customers, and run their business. We're a platform — you're the contractor, and your customers are your customers.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity on your account. Provide accurate business information and keep it current. You must be 18+ and legally allowed to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.

3. Payments and Fees

Card payments are processed by Stripe. BCTM never stores your customers' card numbers. Stripe's fees apply to every transaction.

BCTM charges a 1% platform fee on payments collected through the service, in addition to Stripe's processing fees. The fee is deducted automatically at the time of payout.

You're responsible for any taxes on your income. We're not your accountant.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use BCTM for fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity.
  • Invoice for goods or services you haven't actually provided.
  • Abuse, harass, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to break, reverse engineer, or overload the service.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the invoices, customer data, photos, and files you upload. You grant us a limited license to host and display that content so we can run the service for you. We won't sell it.

6. Termination and Account Deletion

You can cancel anytime from Settings. On deletion, your account data is removed within 30 days, except records we're legally required to keep (such as transaction history for tax compliance).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users or the platform.

7. Service Availability

We work hard to keep BCTM running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages, maintenance, and third-party failures (Stripe, hosting providers) can happen.

8. Limitation of Liability

BCTM is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the platform fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
