SMS Terms & Consent

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Blue Collar Trade Manager ("BCTM", "we", "our") provides an invoicing platform used by independent contractors and small businesses to bill their own customers. This page describes how SMS (text message) notifications work on BCTM and the consent we require before any text is sent.

Who sends the messages

Text messages are sent by contractors and businesses that use BCTM to invoice their own customers. BCTM delivers those messages on the contractor's behalf through our messaging provider, Twilio. The sending phone number is a business number registered to BCTM.

What the messages contain

Recipients receive transactional invoice notifications only. A typical message looks like:

[Contractor Business Name] invoice #INV-001 for $250.00 USD is ready. View and pay: https://bluecollartrademanager.com/i/INV-001

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&data rates may apply.

We do not send marketing texts, promotional offers, sweepstakes, contests, or any content unrelated to an invoice the recipient has received from the contractor.

How consent is obtained

Before any invoice text is sent, BCTM requires the contractor to affirmatively confirm that the recipient has agreed to receive text messages about their invoices. This confirmation is captured in the contractor's BCTM dashboard when they add or edit a customer and choose SMS delivery — the contractor must check a consent-attestation box that reads:

"I confirm this customer has agreed to receive invoice text messages from my business. Msg & data rates may apply. They can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe."

BCTM records the timestamp, the contractor's IP address, and the consent source alongside the customer record. If the contractor has not attested, BCTM refuses to send.

Recipients may also opt in directly by replying START to a business number they have previously texted STOP to.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Recipients typically receive one text per invoice from the contractor (invoice ready, and, if applicable, a follow-up if the invoice remains unpaid past its due date). BCTM does not send scheduled marketing broadcasts.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS charges from the recipient's mobile carrier apply to every message received. BCTM does not charge recipients for messages.

How to opt out (STOP)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any BCTM text message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts will be sent to that phone number from any BCTM-hosted business account. Equivalent keywords are also honored: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

Opt-out takes effect immediately and is recorded against the customer record with a timestamp. Contractors cannot override or reverse an opt-out from their dashboard — the only way to receive texts again from a BCTM business number is to reply START or UNSTOP from the opted-out phone number.

How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any BCTM text message for support information. You can also email us at [email protected].

Supported carriers

BCTM SMS is delivered through Twilio and supports all major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Phone numbers and consent records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell phone numbers, text-message content, or consent records to any third party. Numbers are shared only with Twilio (our messaging provider) to the extent necessary to deliver a message.
